Dental Operator - Dr. Elwin Kershaw
I’m passionate about dentistry. I was born in rural Saskatchewan and spent most of my early years Saskatoon where I received my dental training. Shortly after graduating in 1981 I moved to Medicine Hat where I have practiced until the present time. I am proud father of three children who have followed in my footsteps and chosen careers in dentistry. My philosophy has always been to provide patient-centered care of the highest quality.
Believe it or not, teeth are not my only interest! I have followed in my fathers footsteps in taking up woodworking as a hobby. This has ranged from making furniture, grandfather clocks, business and public service signs for our community. A lot of my projects have been focused on providing toys and furniture for my grandchildren. Another huge area in my life is participating and volunteering with my church. I have been committed to serving there for many years.
I have been married to my wife, Nancy for the past 40 years. Nancy was born and raised in Ontario and we met while she was vacationing in Lake Louise. We both have loved our community and the close friends we have acquired over our years here.
Living in Medicine Hat, we are surrounded by so many friends and family. This has provided me with a strong connection to the community. This carries over to my profession as well. Honesty, integrity and the patient's best interest are vital to my dental practice.
I have spent 40 years of service in the community this year and I just want to say thank you to Medicine Hat for embracing my practice and I look forward to serving you at my dental practice and at Southland Surgical Centre providing for our communities dental needs where general anesthetic services are required.
